Sunny Hose

Sunny is the trade name of the blue PVC lay-flat hose widely used across the Gulf for water discharge. It is built as a smooth blue PVC tube with a single ply of woven polyester yarn embedded in the wall and a smooth PVC cover, so it flattens for storage on a reel and rounds out under pressure. It is a delivery hose only and will not take suction: the usual duties are pump discharge, dewatering and site washdown, irrigation and pool backwash. It is supplied in coils and cut to length, and coupled with hose tails held by worm-drive clips or bandable clamps. When ordering give the bore, the coil length and the pressure you need to hold - working pressure falls as the bore increases - and bear in mind that PVC softens as it gets hot, so a line left pressurised in direct summer sun will not last as long as one run in shade.
