Foot Valves

Foot valves in brass and carbon steel, fitted at the bottom of a suction line to hold the pump primed and to keep a strainer between the water and the impeller. When a pump loses its prime overnight, the foot valve or the joint just above it is the first place to look, because a seat that no longer holds lets the column drain back into the sump. Order by line size and thread, body material to suit the water, and the depth and the clearance available at the bottom of the well or tank.
