A misting line has to be supported at intervals or it sags between nozzles, and a sagging line drains to its low points and spits water when the pump restarts. This clip does that job: a formed steel band with a rubber lining, closed by one bolt through the two flattened tabs.
The lining is what makes it suitable for a small-bore plastic tube. A bare metal clip tightened on nylon or polyethylene tube cuts into the wall at the clamping point, and the tube then fails there rather than anywhere else in the run; the rubber spreads the load and takes up the movement as the tube expands and contracts in the sun. Clips of this pattern are made to DIN 3016 by European manufacturers, but nothing on this item or in its record states that it conforms, so that is not claimed here.
Fixing centres matter more than clamp strength on a misting line. Support close enough that the tube does not sag visibly between clips - closer on a horizontal run in direct sun, where nylon tube softens and creeps - and set the clips so the nozzle tees are supported rather than left hanging on the tube either side of them.
When ordering, state the outside diameter of the tube to be clamped, the band width, the fixing bolt or screw size, the finish required for the exposure, and the lining material. Zinc-plated steel is adequate under shade and inside; a coastal or wash-down installation wants stainless, and the lining should be checked for UV exposure where the clip sits in the open.
