Description
The DK-Lok DCF series is a straight female connector: one end takes instrument or process tubing on a compression joint, the other is a female NPT thread that screws onto a male pipe nipple, an instrument stem or a valve port. It is the fitting used where a tubing run has to terminate on an existing male thread without welding or cutting a thread on the tube.
Sealing on the tube side is by the double-ferrule principle. As the nut is drawn up, the front ferrule seals against the fitting body while the back ferrule bites onto the tube and holds it, so the joint resists vibration and pressure cycling and can be broken and re-made with ordinary spanners. Body, nut and ferrules are 316 stainless steel throughout, which suits the fitting to corrosive service and to outdoor plant.
Typical duties are instrumentation and control lines, hydraulic and pneumatic tubing, and the interface between tubing and NPT-threaded process and utility pipework.
When ordering, state the tube outside diameter and the female NPT size required and quote the order code from the specification table — DCF-8-8N-S for 1/2" tube OD to 1/2" female NPT, DCF-6-4N-S for 3/8" tube OD to 1/4" female NPT. Every code listed is the -S build in 316 stainless steel.
