Description
The DK-Lok DLM series is a 90° elbow compression tube fitting that takes instrument tubing onto a male NPT pipe thread. The right-angle turn is made in the body of the fitting itself, so tubing can be brought into an instrument, valve or panel wall without a formed bend and without the stress a tight radius puts on the tube.
Sealing is by the two-ferrule mechanism. As the nut is tightened the back ferrule advances the front ferrule into the taper of the body, so that the front ferrule seals against the body while the back ferrule grips the tube and holds vibration and pressure cycling away from the seal. Body, nut and both ferrules are 316 stainless steel, which suits the fitting to corrosive media and to outdoor plant.
It is used on instrument impulse and control lines, on hydraulic and pneumatic tubing, and on process and utility service lines where tubing has to change direction at the connection point.
When ordering, give the tube outside diameter and the NPT thread size together: the two ends are sized independently and not every combination is made. The models table lists each available combination with its model code and part number.
