The DFS set is the pair of ferrules that makes the seal in a DK-Lok double-ferrule compression tube fitting. It comprises a front ferrule, which seals against the tapered seat in the fitting body, and a back ferrule, which is driven forward by the nut and bites onto the tube to hold it against pressure and vibration.
Both ferrules are 316 stainless steel to match the standard -S build of the body and nut. The two are supplied together because they work as a matched pair: fitting one new ferrule against one that has already been swaged will not reproduce the original seal.
The set is ordered as a spare when a joint is remade after the tube has been cut back, when a ferrule has been damaged in handling, or when a stock of consumable sealing parts is held for maintenance of instrumentation and control lines, hydraulic and pneumatic tubing, and process and utility service lines.
When ordering, state the tube outside diameter and quote the order code from the specification table. Ferrules are sized to tube OD; the nut that drives them is a separate DN series part.
