Description
The DN series nut is the drive component of a DK-Lok double-ferrule compression tube fitting. Drawing the nut up onto the fitting body advances the front and back ferrules onto the tube, so the nut governs how the joint is made up and how it is re-made after the line has been broken.
It is machined in 316 stainless steel to match the body, nut and ferrules of the standard -S build, which keeps the whole joint at one material specification and suits corrosive and outdoor service. It is ordered as a loose part where a nut has been lost, damaged or over-torqued, and as a spare held against maintenance of an existing tubing installation.
Typical duties are instrumentation and control lines, hydraulic and pneumatic tubing, and process and utility service lines.
When ordering, state the tube outside diameter the nut is to serve and quote the order code from the specification table. The nut is sized to the tube OD, not to a thread size, and is supplied on its own — the front and back ferrules are ordered separately as a DFS ferrule set.
