The DK-Lok DTBF series is a female branch tee. The run carries two compression tube ends and the branch is a female NPT thread, so a threaded take-off can be made from a continuous tubing run without breaking it into two connectors. It is the fitting normally used to land a pressure gauge, a transmitter or a small drain on an instrument line.
Both tube ends seal by the double-ferrule principle: the front ferrule seals against the fitting body while the back ferrule bites onto the tube and holds it, so the joint resists vibration and pressure cycling and can be broken and re-made with ordinary spanners. Body, nut and ferrules are 316 stainless steel throughout.
Typical duties are instrumentation and control lines, hydraulic and pneumatic tubing, and process and utility service lines.
When ordering, state the tube outside diameter of the run and the female NPT size of the branch and quote the order code from the specification table. The size listed is DTBF-8-4N-S, 1/2" x 1/2" tube OD with a 1/4" female NPT branch in 316 stainless steel; other combinations in the series are made to order.
