Description
The Sanrex DFA150AA160 is an isolated diode-thyristor module for three-phase rectification. Six diodes form the bridge and one SCR is built into the same package, so the module both rectifies and gives a controlled path for limiting inrush current at start-up. The base is isolated from the terminals to 2500 V RMS for mounting on a shared heatsink.
It is rated 150 A at a case temperature of 93 °C, with 1600 V VRRM and VDRM, and withstands a non-repetitive surge current of 1600 A at 60 Hz. Junction-to-case thermal resistance is 0.14 °C/W for the diodes and 0.21 °C/W for the SCR; maximum junction temperature is 150 °C for the diodes and 135 °C for the SCR. The gate triggers at 3 V with a maximum gate current of 70 mA.
Typical applications are inverters for AC and DC motor control, current-stabilised and switching industrial power supplies, three-phase AC-to-DC rectifier assemblies and rush-current control circuits.
When ordering, confirm the current and voltage rating required and the gate drive available, and allow for the M5 chassis mounting with M6 power terminals and M4 gate terminals.
