Description
The DK-Lok V46A is a hex body needle valve used for accurate flow regulation and tight shut-off in instrument and process lines, rated to 10,000 psig at 100 °F (38 °C). The body is 316 stainless steel and the compact hex form suits panel, manifold and skid work where space around the valve is limited.
The stem tip does not rotate as the valve is closed, so it is not turned against the seat, which reduces galling and keeps the regulation repeatable over many cycles. The chevron PTFE packing sits below the stem threads, keeping process media away from the threads. The orifice is 4.7 mm across the range; the stem is SS316 to ASTM A276/A479 with an SS630 stem disc to ASTM A564.
Typical duties are isolation of pressure gauges and transmitters, sampling panels and analyser lines, chemical injection and dosing skids, hydraulic and pneumatic control circuits, and general high-pressure isolation and throttling. Working temperature is -65 to 450 °F (-54 to 232 °C).
When ordering, state the NPT size required (1/4", 3/8" or 1/2") and whether both ends are female or one end is male, then quote the order code from the specification table — V46A-F-8N-S for the 1/2" female x female valve, V46A-MF-8N-S for the male x female build. Every code listed is the -S build in 316 stainless steel.
