The DK-Lok V63 is a spring-loaded pressure relief valve for the low-pressure end of instrument and utility service. It protects gauges, transmitters, tubing and downstream equipment by lifting off its seat at a set cracking pressure, venting the excess, and reseating once the line has fallen back below the setting.
The valve is supplied with the red-coded RVS-L spring fitted, which gives a cracking pressure adjustable anywhere from 10 to 225 psig; the setting is made on the valve by turning the adjusting screw against the spring. Maximum working pressure is 300 psig at 68 °F (20.6 bar at 20 °C). The body is 316 stainless steel with an FKM (Viton) seal and a 4.8 mm (0.19 in.) orifice, and both connections are on one axis, male NPT inlet to female NPT outlet.
Typical duties are instrument and gauge protection, hydraulic and pneumatic circuits, test benches and pressure skids, and process and utility lines.
When ordering, state the connection size and the cracking pressure the valve is to be set to, and quote the order code from the specification table. Where a setting above 225 psig is needed the V66 series should be used instead, since it takes the higher-range springs. The valve is set on installation and is not supplied factory sealed.
