The DK-Lok V66 is a spring-loaded pressure relief valve for higher-pressure instrument, hydraulic and test service. It protects instruments, tubing and downstream equipment by lifting off its seat at the cracking pressure set on it, venting the excess, and reseating once the line falls back below the setting.
Maximum working pressure is 6,000 psig at 68 °F (413 bar at 20 °C). The body is 316 stainless steel with an FKM (Viton) seal and a 3.4 mm (0.13 in.) orifice, and both connections lie on one axis, male NPT inlet to female NPT outlet. Within the spring fitted, the cracking pressure is adjusted on the valve by turning the adjusting screw.
The valve is supplied with no spring installed. The spring is what fixes the pressure band the valve can be set within, and the RVS range covers 50 to 6,000 psig in eight colour-coded steps, so the valve and the spring are ordered together to suit the duty.
Typical duties are instrument and gauge protection, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, test benches and pressure skids, and process and utility lines. When ordering, state the connection size, quote the order code from the specification table, and give the cracking pressure required so that the matching RVS spring can be supplied with it.
