A 3-way 2-position directional control valve directs air to one outlet and exhausts the other. Normally closed means the outlet is vented until a pilot signal arrives, so the actuator it feeds returns to its rest position whenever pilot pressure is lost.
This is the brass-bodied V Series spool, shifted by a pressure pilot and returned by a spring. It works from partial vacuum to 200 psi, with a working range of 40 to 200 psi — the lower figure matters, because below it the pilot cannot shift the spool reliably.
Buna NBR seals set the temperature range at -23 to 93 °C. Ports are 1/4" NPT in the body, and the flow coefficient is Cv 1.8. When ordering, state the pilot pressure available and whether the valve must fail open or closed on loss of that pilot.
