Description
The GMDM-I is a multi-jet water meter for cold potable water, with a brass body and BSPP male threaded connections to EN ISO 228-1:2003. Flow is divided into several tangential jets onto the impeller, and the count is carried to the register by a magnetic coupling, so the dial stays dry and sealed away from the water.
Six line sizes are offered, from DN15 (1/2") to DN50 (2"), with permanent flow rates Q3 from 2.5 to 25 m³/h and minimum flow rates Q1 from 25 to 250 L/h. The measuring ratio is R100 mounted horizontally and R50 mounted vertically, so the mounting position has to be settled before the meter is selected. Maximum working pressure is 16 bar and the permissible medium temperature is +0.1 to 50 °C, the T50 cold water class. The register is protected to IP68 and reads through a 360° rotating dry dial, and the magnetic transmission includes anti-magnetic fraud protection.
Typical service is residential and commercial distribution, building sub-metering and light utility lines. Every size is pre-equipped for a remote reading module, so a meter already in service can be brought onto a wired M-BUS network with the IWM-MB3 module without changing the meter itself.
When ordering, state the line size, the mounting position (horizontal or vertical, since this fixes the measuring ratio) and whether a remote reading module is required.
