BMeters IWM-MB3 Wired M-BUS Module for GMDM-I Water Meters

The IWM-MB3 is a wired M-BUS communication module for BMeters water meters supplied pre-equipped with an inductive reading interface, CPR-M3-I, GMDM-I, GMB-RP-I and GMB-I. It reads the meter inductively rather than magnetically, which closes the magnetic fraud path and makes the reading insensitive to pipe vibration.

Data is carried on a standard wired M-BUS bus to EN 13757-2/3 over a 1.5 m cable, so the module joins an existing M-BUS collection network alongside other meters. Besides the index it records alarms, reverse flow and leakage events, and it keeps measuring when bus voltage is absent, backed by a rechargeable lithium battery. The housing is protected to IP68 and the module is configured over NFC from an Android application.

It is used for centralised consumption monitoring and billing in residential blocks, commercial buildings, industrial sites and utility networks. Maximum reading error is 0.5 % and the permissible ambient temperature is +1 to 50 °C.

When ordering, confirm that the meter is the pre-equipped version with the inductive interface and state the meter model and size. The module for the WDE-K50 series is the IWM-MB4.
