Description
The WIKA model 213.53 is a mechanical Bourdon tube pressure gauge with a stainless steel case and wetted parts in copper alloy. WIKA manufactures and qualifies it to EN 837-1 and ASME B40.100, and fits a blow-out device so that overpressure can escape at the back or circumference of the case in the event of a failure.
The case is liquid-filled as standard. The filling damps the pressure element and the movement, which is why the instrument suits fast load cycles, vibration and pulsation - hydraulics, compressors and shipbuilding are the applications WIKA names. Filling is glycerine, a glycerine-water mixture for scale ranges up to 0 ... 2.5 bar, or silicone oil where a wider temperature range is needed. The filling plug can be vented and resealed for internal pressure compensation.
Nominal sizes are 50, 63 and 100 mm. Accuracy is class 1.6 at NS 50 and 63 and class 1.0 at NS 100. The Bourdon tube is copper alloy up to 400 bar (600 bar at NS 50) and stainless steel 316L above that, while the process connection remains copper alloy throughout.
When ordering, specify nominal size, scale range and unit, process connection thread and connection location (lower, centre back or lower back mount), case filling, and whether IP66 is required - IP66 is only selectable for scale ranges of 0 ... 20 bar and above.
