Description
The WIKA model 232.50 is a Bourdon tube pressure gauge built entirely from stainless steel for the process industry. Both wetted parts - the process connection and the Bourdon tube - are stainless steel 1.4404 (316L), and the movement is stainless steel, which suits the instrument to aggressive liquid and vapour-phase media and to aggressive ambient conditions in chemical, petrochemical, hydrocarbon processing, power and water treatment plant.
The case is a safety pattern to level S1 of EN 837-1, with a blow-out device on the case back (NS 100 and 160) or circumference (NS 63). The window is laminated safety glass, polycarbonate at NS 63, and the bayonet ring is stainless steel. Scale ranges of 0 ... 0.6 to 0 ... 1,600 bar are offered, with accuracy class 1.6 at NS 63 and class 1.0 at NS 100 and 160.
Model 232.50 is the unfilled instrument. Where high dynamic pressure loads or vibration are present, the liquid-filled version is ordered as model 233.50 - a different model number, not a field modification of a 232.50. Unfilled instruments carry a much wider medium temperature range, -40 ... +200 °C, against -20 ... +100 °C for a glycerine-filled 233.50.
When ordering, specify nominal size, scale range and unit, process connection thread and location, case material (1.4301 / 304 or 1.4571 / 316Ti), and whether IP66 is required.
