Description
The WIKA model 232.34 is the XSEL process pressure gauge, a stainless steel Bourdon tube instrument designed and tested to the requirements of ASME B40.100. Wetted parts - the process connection and the Bourdon tube - are stainless steel 316L, and the movement is stainless steel.
Its defining feature is the case: a solid baffle wall (Solidfront) with a blow-out back, so that in the event of a failure media and components can only be ejected rearwards and the operator standing in front of the dial is protected. The case and threaded bezel are glass-fibre reinforced PBT thermoplastic in black, which holds dimensional stability under aggressive ambient conditions.
Nominal sizes are 4-1/2" (115 mm) and 6" (160 mm), with scale ranges of 0 ... 10 to 0 ... 30,000 psi (0 ... 0.6 to 0 ... 2,000 bar) and an accuracy of +/-0.5 % of span, ASME grade 2A - tightening to +/-1 % grade 1A at ranges of 0 ... 20,000 psi and above. Model 232.34 is dry; 233.34 is the case-filled version for highly dynamic pressure loads and vibration.
When ordering, specify nominal size, scale range and unit, connection location and thread, and whether case filling is required. Ingress protection is IP54 as standard but IP65 where the instrument is filled or has a radial lower-mount connection.
