Description

The RF is what Gemels calls a check valve flow control: a needle throttle that meters flow in one direction and a poppet that lifts to pass full flow in the other. In practice it is fitted in a cylinder line to set the speed of the working stroke while leaving the return stroke unrestricted. The knurled knob sets the orifice against a graduated collar and is held by a locking screw; the check opens at a cracking pressure of 0.05 MPa (0.5 bar, 7.25 psi) in every size.

The body of the unit photographed is laser-marked GF2GGT530110000 and MADE IN ITALY. That 15-character string is Gemels' own item code and it appears verbatim in the RF datasheet against RF G 1: DN25, BSP parallel female ends to DIN/ISO 228, carbon steel body, weight 2 kg. The same valve in NPT to ASME B1.20.1 is item code GF2NNT530110000.

The RF series runs DN6 to DN40, that is G 1/4 to G 1 1/2 BSP or N 1/4 to N 1 1/2 NPT. DN6 to DN25 are rated 40 MPa (400 bar, 5800 psi) and DN32 and DN40 at 35 MPa (350 bar, 5075 psi). Rated flow rises with size from 25 L/min at DN6 to 300 L/min at DN40 — 150 L/min at the DN25 shown. Temperature range is −20 to +100 °C; the carbon steel body is galvanised. Specify size, thread family and the flow to be metered when ordering.
