Check Valves

Non-return valves in the patterns a line normally calls for: swing check in stainless and brass, brass spring type, dual plate wafer and stainless wafer, stainless high pressure and tube type, carbon steel class 800, a brass check valve for air compressors, and a hydraulic flow control with an integral check. A swing check wants a horizontal run and steady flow; spring and dual plate types close faster and suit vertical lines and pump discharges where slam is a risk. Give the line size, the mounting orientation, the pressure class and the medium, and check the cracking pressure if the line runs at low head.
