Description

The RegO 597F series reduces container pressure to a set pressure in the pounds range. The 597FB is the 10 to 30 PSIG member of that series. Delivery pressure is set on site with the tee handle, and inlet and outlet are both 1/4" NPT, which makes the regulator small enough to mount close to the appliance it feeds.

It is a pounds-to-pounds regulator, not a domestic second stage. Applications given by RegO are salamander heaters, weed burning torches, fish cookers, tar pot heaters and similar industrial and commercial loads, on either liquid or vapour service. Capacity is quoted at 3,000,000 BTU/hr, established at a set pressure of 20 PSIG with the inlet 20 PSIG above the setting.

Where an appliance runs on inches of water column rather than pounds, this regulator is the first stage and a second stage regulator has to follow it. When ordering, state the required delivery pressure so the correct member of the series is supplied: 597FA covers 1-15 PSIG, 597FB 10-30 PSIG, 597FC 20-45 PSIG and 597FD 40-100 PSIG.
