Description
Article 070 is the female/female full flow valve of ITAP's Berlin range. The bore through the ball equals the nominal bore of the valve, so the valve adds no restriction to the line, and the handle is a quarter-turn lever varnished yellow, the colour convention that distinguishes it from a water valve on site.
The valve is approved to EN 331 up to 2", and ITAP's declaration of conformity cites DVGW certificate NG-4312BN7046. Body and end adapter are nickel-plated CW617N brass, the ball is chrome-plated CW617N, the stem is CW614N, the seats are PTFE and the seals are NBR and Viton. Threads are ISO 7-1 Rp parallel from 1/2" to 2" and ISO 228 in the three largest sizes.
Maximum working pressure is 5 bar (72.5 psi) across the EN 331-approved sizes 1/2" to 2". The three larger sizes carry a higher rating that falls with size: 18 bar at 2"1/2, 16 bar at 3" and 14 bar at 4". Temperature range is -20 °C to +60 °C. Note that an alloy designation such as CW617N, or a PN figure, is a material or pressure marking and not a part number. When ordering, state the size and the article, and note that arts. 071, 072 and 073 are the same valve in male/female and T-handle forms.
