The WIKA A2G-500 and A2G-520 are differential pressure instruments for ventilation and air-conditioning plant, measuring differential pressure, gauge pressure and vacuum in air and other non-aggressive, non-flammable media. They are used for filter, fan and heat exchanger monitoring and for pressure monitoring in ducts, laboratories, production areas and clean rooms. The measuring element is a piezo cell and accuracy is 0.50 % FS.
Measuring ranges are freely adjustable within an operating range that is fixed by the model code. The A2G-500 covers ±250, ±2,500, ±7,000 and ±12,000 Pa, with individual ranges from -25…+25 Pa up to 0…12,000 Pa [0…48 inWC]. The A2G-520 covers ±250, ±2,500 and ±7,000 Pa, so its upper limit is 0…7,000 Pa [0…28 inWC], not 12,000 Pa. Ranges are set through the instrument menu, the HMI or the WIKA app over NFC.
Output options are DC 0…10 V, 0…5 V or 2…10 V three-wire and 4…20 mA two- or three-wire, up to two relays, digital Modbus RTU over RS-485, and wireless LoRaWAN on LoRa 868 MHz EU with a range of up to 10 km [6.21 miles] in free-field conditions. A 240 × 320 dpi 2″ TFT colour display can show up to four measured values and two relay states. Two voltage and two resistance inputs accept DC 0…10 V, 0…5 V, 2…10 V, Pt1000, Ni1000, Ni1000-LG, NTC 10 kΩ or a binary signal.
In addition, the A2G-520 computes air flow from the differential pressure across a fan or a pitot tube such as the A2G-FM, using that element's K factor, and displays air flow over 0…999,999 m³/h in l/s, m³/s, m³/h or cfm, and velocity in m/s or fpm. Both instruments take AC or DC 24 V ±10 %, connect through two Ø 5 / 7 mm nozzles for hoses of 4…6 mm inner diameter, and are IP65 in a PC GF20 case.
