Description
The WIKA DSS10M is a pressure gauge assembly built to protect the measuring instrument from media it should not touch - aggressive, hot, corrosive, environmentally hazardous or toxic process fluids in the chemical, petrochemical and general process industries. A stainless steel diaphragm separates the medium from the gauge and transmits pressure to the Bourdon tube through the system fill fluid.
What distinguishes DSS10M from its siblings is the construction. The diaphragm seal parts are screwed together rather than welded, which means the lower body can be replaced - when the process connection has to change, for instance - without altering the diaphragm seal system. An internal diaphragm is available as an option, and the seal is direct-mounted to the gauge as standard so that pressure is read at the measuring point.
Nominal size is 100 mm at accuracy class 1.0, with a scale range of 0 ... 1 to 0 ... 60 bar (0 ... 15 to 0 ... 800 psi) and vacuum or compound ranges of -1 ... +5, -1 ... +9 and -1 ... +10 bar. Process connections are G 1/2 or 1/2 NPT. Wetted parts are stainless steel 1.4435 (316L) or Hastelloy C276, and the system fill fluid is silicone oil KN 2 for general applications.
Permissible medium temperature is -10 to 150 °C, ambient 10 to 40 °C, and ingress protection is IP65. When ordering, specify the scale range, the process connection thread, and the wetted material - the choice of Hastelloy C276 changes the assembly height.
