Description
The DSS18F and DSS19F are hygienic pressure gauge assemblies for food and beverage service on pipelines and vessels. Each pairs a Bourdon tube pressure gauge to EN 837-1, welded to a diaphragm seal, so that the medium is separated from the measuring system and the measuring point can be cleaned while installed.
The two models differ only in the process connection, and that is how you choose between them. DSS18F is supplied with a milk thread fitting following DIN 11851, for pipes to DIN 11850 row 2, in DN 25 and DN 40 among other sizes. DSS19F is supplied with a process connection per Svensk Standard SS 1145, for pipes to ISO 1127 row 2 or ISO 2037, in DN 38 among other sizes. Everything else - nominal size 100 mm, accuracy class 1.0, scale range 0 ... 1 to 0 ... 25 bar - is common to both.
The wetted diaphragm is stainless steel 1.4435 (316L) with a surface roughness of Ra <= 0.76 um to ASME BPE SF3, and the system fill fluid is medicinal white mineral oil KN 92, compliant with FDA 21 CFR 172.878 and 21 CFR 178.3620(a) and with USP, EP and JP. Wetted parts are supplied oil and grease free to ASTM G93-03 level F. The case is stainless steel 1.4301 (304) with a laminated safety glass window, to IP65.
Medium temperature is 10 to 80 °C, rising to a maximum of 130 °C for SIP and CIP cleaning. When ordering, specify which model, the scale range, and the DN size and pipe standard the fitting must match.
