Description
The WIKA DSS26M pairs a Bourdon tube pressure gauge to EN 837-1 with a diaphragm seal on a flange connection, for aggressive, highly viscous, crystallising or hot media in chemical and petrochemical process plant. The diaphragm keeps the medium away from the measuring element while the system fill fluid transmits pressure to the Bourdon tube.
The seal in this model uses an internal diaphragm set in a diaphragm bed within the flange, as distinct from the flush-diaphragm DSS27M. Flange connections follow EN 1092-1 with a form B1 sealing face, or ASME B16.5 with an RF 125 to 250 AA finish, in the sizes given in the datasheet - DN 25 PN 10/40 for EN, and 1/2" and 1" class 150 or 300 for ASME.
Nominal size is 100 mm at accuracy class 1.0. Scale ranges are 0 ... 6, 0 ... 10, 0 ... 16, 0 ... 25 and 0 ... 40 bar, with vacuum and compound ranges of -1 ... +5, -1 ... +9 and -1 ... +10 bar. The wetted diaphragm is stainless steel 1.4435 (316L) and the diaphragm seal body 1.4404 (316L); the system fill fluid is silicone oil KN 2 for general applications.
Permissible medium temperature is -10 to +150 °C, ambient 10 to 40 °C, and ingress protection is IP65. When ordering, specify the scale range, the flange standard, nominal diameter and pressure class, and confirm the flange facing the mating equipment requires.
