Description
The WIKA DSS27M is a Bourdon tube pressure gauge to EN 837-1 mounted on a diaphragm seal with a flange connection and a flush welded diaphragm. It is used where the medium is aggressive, highly viscous, crystallising, corrosive, toxic or hot, and where a recess in the wetted face would trap product.
The flush diaphragm is the difference from the internal-diaphragm DSS26M: the diaphragm sits level with the flange face, leaving no dead space in which medium can accumulate or solidify. The all-welded construction gives a permanently sealed assembly, and the system fill fluid transmits pressure from the diaphragm to the Bourdon tube.
Nominal size is 100 mm at accuracy class 1.0. Scale ranges are 0 ... 1 to 0 ... 40 bar (0 ... 15 to 0 ... 600 psi) with vacuum and compound ranges of -1 ... +5, -1 ... +9 and -1 ... +10 bar. The wetted diaphragm is stainless steel 1.4435 (316L), the diaphragm seal body 1.4404 (316L), and the system fill fluid silicone oil KN 2.
Flange connections follow EN 1092-1 form B1 in DN 50 PN 10/40 and DN 80 PN 10/16 or 25/40, or ASME B16.5 with RF 125 to 250 AA facing in 2" and 3" class 150 and 300. Permissible medium temperature is -10 to 150 °C and ingress protection is IP65. When ordering, specify scale range, flange standard, nominal diameter and pressure class.
