Instrumentation & Measurement

Instrumentation here means pressure measurement: mechanical and digital gauges, and electronic sensors and transmitters, largely WIKA. Choose by what reads the value — an operator standing at the plant, or a PLC, controller or datalogger — and by whether the process needs a diaphragm seal between the medium and the instrument, which is the usual answer on hygienic, viscous, crystallising or corrosive service. Range, process connection, wetted material, ingress protection and, in a classified area, the approval carried by the instrument are the points to settle before ordering.
